Description
During the Qianlong period, the trend of antique style was prevalent, and the imperial court collected collected bronze artifacts. These artifacts were made of solid large bamboo roots and modeled after the three legged bronze tripod of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, creating a round tripod style with a dignified and full shape. A round body with a short neck, a flat abdomen with an outer drum and a circular base, and two symmetrical coronal ears applied externally to the upper abdomen. The square lips of the mouth are carved with cloud and thunder patterns, and the middle of the abdomen is surrounded by four groups of ground carved, intertwined flower patterns, which are lively yet flexible and powerful. The upper and lower layers are lined with Ruyi cloud patterns and double string patterns. The three beasts have Ying shaped heads and feet, with outward sloping feet. The upper part of the three legs is decorated with animal face patterns, with a majestic and authentic animal face. The soles of the feet are decorated with four claws, which at first glance may seem like real claws. The cover corresponds to the patterns on the tripod body, with symmetrical carved floral patterns intertwined with branches, interspersed with shawl like cloud head patterns. The top of the cover is embedded with a waistband and a Ni shaped pearl cover button. The overall carving lines are smooth, the production process is complex, the polishing is precise and smooth, and the patterns are auspicious and exquisite.
