Description

Chu Teh-Chun's Snow in a Prosperous Age In 1965, Chu Teh-Chun was invited to participate in a rural art festival in Savoy, France, during which he climbed Mount Blanc, known as the roof of Europe, and looked down on the snow covered mountains in the Alps for the first time, which made the artist feel extremely shocked; This experience can also be traced in his later paintings. Since the mid-1960s, Chu Teh-Chun has started to try to integrate white of different color scales into the picture to create a snowy mountain artistic conception covered by ice and snow. In 1985, Chu Teh-Chun went to Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the "Five Abstract Painters Group Exhibition". On his way back, he was caught in a snowstorm when he passed the Alps by train. The spectacle of snowstorm in front of him shook his heart -- the scene of snowflakes flying in his mind for 20 years. Finally, when he came to the snow mountain again, he sublimated from the fragmentary impression to the idea of driving his pen point to soar, and finally formed a snowscape series.
