Description

The pattern and brush and ink techniques in the Painting of Spring Outing do have the style characteristics of the Southern Song Academy. The costumes of the figures in the painting are of the Song Dynasty, and the Pommeled Horse and chariots conform to the Song system. In terms of painting techniques, the mountains and rocks are cracked with a large axe, the characters have a style of "blue leaf painting", and the trees have common technical elements of Guo Xi, Ma Yuan, Xia Gui, and others. Therefore, this work is considered to be a highly skilled painter of the Southern Song Dynasty.
