Description

Inscription: "Floating Frost, Cold Moon, After Rain, Clear Clouds, Fragrant Water, Moisturizing Thirst, Stopping Heat and Removing Ice", "Wanli Ding Chou Zi Jing Mr. Suo, Wen Jiaming". Print: "Maolin". "Maolin" refers to Li Maolin, also known as Li Yangxin, who was a master of pot making in Yixing during the Jiajing and Wanli periods of the Ming Dynasty. From the bottom inscription, it can be seen that Xiang Yuanbian specially invited Wen Jia to engrave an inscription. Xiang Yuanbian was a great collector of ancient calligraphy and painting, and Wen Jia was the second son of Wen Zhengming, whose eldest son, Wen Peng, had already passed away.
