Description

This coin was minted in the early thirty-one (1905) years of the reign of the Emperor Guangxu to commemorate Empress Dowager Cixi's 70th birthday. Zhang Jiongbo wrote in his article“Guangdong province silver coins”: “However, this product is not aged, and it can not be cut off suddenly. However, look at its design. Thus, it became a kind of commemorative coin, specially minted to wish the Empress Dowager Cixi a long life in their seventies.”
