Description

Pan Su (1915 – April 16, 1992), originally named Pan Baiqin with the courtesy name Huisu, was a Chinese female painter and the wife of famous collector Zhang Boju, born in Suzhou, Jiangsu. In the early years, I studied flowers and birds, and in middle age, I shifted my focus to mountains and rivers. In my later years, I became skilled in the beautiful scenery of gold, blue, green, and snow. During the Republic of China period, he served as a director of the Beijing Fine Arts Branch, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as a director of the Beijing Chinese Painting Research Association, a professor at Jilin Art Institute, a member of the China Artists Association, Vice President of Beijing Zhongshan Calligraphy and Painting Society, Art Advisor of Beijing Gongbi Heavy Color Painting Association, member of the 6th and 7th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, member of the Central Committee of the Democratic Revolution, and director of the China Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification.
