Description

Shen Peng, born on July 1, 1931 in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province, is a calligrapher, art critic, poet, honorary member of the 10th China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and honorary chairman of the China Calligraphers Association. Member of the Chinese Artists Association. Starting from 1950, he worked at the People's Pictorial and served as the Deputy Director of the Editorial Office, Director of the Editorial Office, and Deputy Editor in Chief of the People's Fine Arts Publishing House. He also served as the Executive Deputy Director of the Editorial Review Committee and enjoyed government special allowances approved by the State Council. In March 1993, he was elected as a member of the 8th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
