Description

Ren Yi, styled Bo Nian, was born in Hangwu Mountain, Shanyin, Zhejiang (now Guali Town, Xiaoshan, Zhejiang) and was a painter in the late Qing Dynasty. When I was a child, I learned painting with my father. At the age of fourteen, I went to Shanghai and became an apprentice in Fanzhuang. Later, I made a living by selling paintings. The subject matter of the painting is extremely extensive, with exquisite characters, flowers and birds, landscapes, and animals. His brushstrokes and ink strokes create a rich and varied composition, creating a fresh and smooth unique style.
