Description

In the 34th year of the Guangxu reign, at the age of Wushen, the Ministry of Revenue Mint began minting three types of "Guangxu Yuanbao" silver coins: one yuan, two jiao, and one jiao. In October of the same year, Emperor Guangxu passed away, and the following month, the new emperor ascended to the throne with the reign name Xuantong. The following year, all silver coins minted in various regions were changed to "Xuantong Yuanbao". The copper coins were ordered to be produced by the main factory first and issued ancestral molds to various provincial bureaus throughout the country. The obverse has been uniformly shaped as Qing Dynasty copper coins with annotated Ganzhi chronology and casting site, so it has not been changed. The reverse has been changed from "made in the year of Guangxu" to "made in the year of Xuantong". However, various versions of the Guangxu Xuantong and silver copper indiscriminate mixed and matched irregular coins have been discovered. Quanjie is commonly known as "mismatched sample coins", which are mismatched sample coins of the year and currency used by the mint. They are special products of a specific period and are unprecedented. This set of items is a set of Guangxu Yuanbao coins from the Mint General Factory. The overall production process of the two coins is very exquisite, well preserved, and has extremely high collection value and historical significance, which is worth collecting for collectors!
