Description

In the late Northern Song Dynasty, the imperial porcelain Ru Guan kiln was built in Ruzhou, Henan Province, present-day Baofeng County. It has held a high position for nearly a thousand years and is actually a masterpiece. It is a treasure of Chinese history, showcasing the beauty of Chinese philosophy, and collecting the essence of Chinese aesthetics. Ru porcelain is small, simple, elegant, gentle, and timeless. It not only represents the essence of Chinese ceramic art, but also has profound historical significance. It is the first of all famous collections in ancient and modern times. However, it is extremely rare and difficult to find a single piece. This piece of brush wash in Ru official kiln has a glaze like coagulated fat, azure and green, crystal clear ice, exquisite and elegant shape, and three Zhi Fried Dough Twists small spikes can be seen at the bottom. For the old collection of Taipei Hongxi Art Museum, the porcelain is perfect and exquisite, and should be considered a model of Ru Guan porcelain. Unlike the official kiln porcelain of Hangzhou in the Southern Song Dynasty, Ru porcelain has very clear characteristics, but the glaze color still varies greatly. It can be seen that there are light blue milky blue without patterns, just like the sunflower style wash sold by Sotheby's in Hong Kong in 2012 (see catalog number 29 below). It also has a bright and transparent appearance, with a green and blue color, and fine ice cracked and split patterns, which is like this product. In the early Ming Dynasty, Cao Zhao's "Ge Gu Yao Lun" still stated that the former had no patterns, while the Hangzhou official kiln of the Southern Song Dynasty was a model similar to the latter. Both were extremely rare, and various glaze color changes were seen between the two. There were light gray colors, wide open sections, or deep stained sections, but the glaze surface was opaque and opaque.
