Description

Doucai, also known as Doucai, is a treasure of traditional Chinese porcelain making techniques. Founded during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, Doucai, a decorative variety that combines underglaze color (blue and white) and overglaze color, was highly praised during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty. The bottle shaped vessel resembling a gourd has been loved by the people since the Tang Dynasty due to its homophonic sound of "fu lu", and has become a traditional vessel shape. By the Ming Dynasty's Jiajing period, this vessel was particularly popular and underwent many changes due to the emperor's love for it. This collection is a rare Daoguang year made colorful gourd heart turning bottle.
