Jiang Laiqiao, pen name Qiao'er, was born in 1937 in Heze, Shandong and currently resides in Beijing. A famous calligrapher, born into a family of calligraphers, loved calligraphy from a young age. He began learning calligraphy at the age of 5 and was brought to Jiangnan by his uncle in 1953. He became a contemporary calligrapher and was known as the "Southern Deng of Northern Qi" under the guidance of Deng Sanmu, a master of calligraphy. He studied calligraphy with his mentor for 5 years and later sought advice from senior Ouyang Zhongshi several times. He gained a lot from this experience and shared his understanding and insights into calligraphy with his fellow calligraphers, Becoming the founder of the unique Jiaoti school. Jiang Laiqiao is currently the Vice President of the China Collectors Association, Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphers and Painters Network, Chairman of the China Charitable Artists Association, Chairman of the National Calligraphers and Painters Exchange and Exhibition Committee, National First Class Calligrapher, "People's Artist" with both virtue and art at the 2021 National People's Congress, "Centennial Brilliance, Hundred Famous Masters" at the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and an honest artist in Chinese cultural education. In 2022, he was awarded the honorary title of "Innovative Figure in Unique Calligraphy and Painting Art"
