Description

In the Bingwu year of the Guangxu reign, one or two sample coins of the Qing Dynasty were minted at the Tianjin Mint of the Ministry of Revenue in 1906. It was the first gold coin produced under the name of the central government in China and the only one during the Qing Dynasty. Due to the insufficient gold reserves of the Qing government and the absence of a gold standard system, it was not issued, and only the sample coins of the Bingwu and Dingwei years are seen in the world, both of which are very rare.
