Description

Paipin straight mouth, long neck, sloping shoulders, ball belly, shin arc closure, introverted loop feet. The abdomen depicts a panoramic landscape painting. The landscape is plain, with buildings and pavilions, streams, bridges, lakes, and towering pines and rocks. It is like a long scroll of blue and green water and mountain paintings with a high artistic conception. It has a strong literary atmosphere and strong artistic appeal. The celestial sphere vase is a classic style among porcelain vases. A type of porcelain shape derived from the bile bottle, the allusion is taken from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period when King Goujian of Yue lay on the firewood and tasted the bile. Originating from the Yongle and Xuande periods of the Ming Dynasty, it was shaped like a celestial sphere, hence its name Tianqiu Bottle.
