the tapering baluster body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck with flaring rim, brightly enamelled around the exterior with floral blooms borne on meandering leafy scrolls, interspersed with bats suspending a beribboned musical chime, between an upright lappet border above the foot and a ruyi border encircling the base of the neck, the neck and foot similarly decorated, the centre of the base incised and gilt with a six-character seal mark
