Description

This example of a flat bottle has a first-class appearance and a magnificent appearance, but its shape is extremely difficult to control. Due to the wide belly of the vessel and the small size of the legs, the junction between the legs and the abdomen is particularly narrow, making it difficult to place it during kiln firing. In addition, the flat body of the device increases its inherent instability, and the larger the volume, the more difficult firing problems it faces. The hardships and obstacles of the kiln firing process can be imagined for those who produce the perfect product.

Bottle skimmed mouth, short neck, symmetrical neck decoration with Kui dragon ears, flat belly, circled feet. Interior turquoise green glaze. The outer sole is made with turquoise green glaze and blue and white seal script from the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty.

This bottle has a height of over 50 centimeters, a regular shape, and magnificent decorations, making it a representative work of the official kiln during the Qianlong period. The decoration of this vase is outlined in blue and white, and then filled with various colors of glaze. Each side of the vessel vividly depicts a five clawed swimming dragon tumbling over the sea water on the river cliff, and a young dragon accompanying it, forming the meaning of the dragon's godson.
