Description

Juchao, a calligrapher and painter from the late Qing Dynasty in China. Originally named Yi, with the courtesy name Shi Jie, he was a scholar named Mei Sheng, Mei Chao, and Jin Xi An Zhu. He was born in Geshan Township (now Haizhu District, Guangzhou City), Panyu County, Guangdong Province. His paintings of mountains, rivers, flowers, and insects were elegant and vivid, while his calligraphy was inspired by Yun Shouping.
