Description

This work is carved from a whole piece of white jade material, with a delicate and transparent texture that exudes a warm and oily shine, and some parts have ochre leather. Carving is based on the theme of the Lingxiao flower, an object sung by poets throughout history. Three Lingxiao flowers, with sepals connected, and two blooming flowers pulling out their stamens. One of them is in an upright trumpet shape, with petals spreading outwards and a hollow center used for making soy sauce. The other blooming flower is bent aside. The remaining bud is nestled by the side, ready to bloom. The petal image is vivid, with a slightly thick center, presenting a realistic three-dimensional representation. This device transforms the graceful Lingxiao flower into a practical flower arrangement, with excellent materials, appropriate arrangement, and precise density, fully showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of the Qianlong period. Lingxiao Flower is named Ziwei or Tiaohua. In the scorching summer sun, bright orange flowers bloom and often appear in Chinese gardens. They are also objects sung by poets throughout history,
