Description

Monk Hat Pot: One of the porcelain shaped pot styles created during the Yuan Dynasty in China. The teapot is named after its shape resembling a monk's hat, with an upturned mouth edge, low in the front and high in the back, flowing in a duckbill shape. The teapot lid is lying inside the mouth edge, tying the neck, belly, legs, and crank. Has a strong ethnic minority style. The primitive vessel has a solid body, a thicker neck, and a slightly shorter flow. The Ming vessel has a slightly longer flow, while the Qing vessel has a slightly higher neck and a slightly thinner abdomen. The earliest blue and white porcelain was from Yuanjingdezhen. The Ming and Qing dynasties continued to burn. There are blue and white, red glazed, and white glazed vessels.
