Description

The December Flower God Cup is a colorful masterpiece of the Kangxi Imperial Kiln, set according to the number of monthly orders. One flower for one month, accompanied by poetry and prose, with twelve cups painted with welcoming spring, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, peonies, pomegranates, lotus, orchids, osmanthus, chrysanthemums, roses, plum blossoms, and daffodils. It has always been regarded as a famous product of Kangxi Dynasty official kiln porcelain. The twelve flower gods worshipped are: Princess Shou of the Plum Blossom God in January, Lady Xi of the Apricot Blossom God in February, Lady Xi of the Peach Blossom God in March, Lady Li of the Peony Flower God in April, Lady Wei of the Pomegranate Flower God in May, Lady Xi of the Lotus Flower God in June, Lady Li of the Sunflower God in July, Lady Xu of the Osmanthus Flower God in August, Left Consort of the Chrysanthemum God in September, Lady Hua Rui of the Hibiscus Flower God in October, Lady Zhao of the Tea Flower God in November, and Luo of the Narcissus Flower God in December. "Tao Ya" praises: "In December of the Kangxi reign, there were flower wine glasses, each with blue and white, and five colors. The texture was very thin, and the baht was light. If you want to make do with the flowers of December, it is truly difficult."
