Description

Xu Beihong (July 19, 1895 – September 26, 1953), originally named Xu Shoukang, was a Han Chinese from Qiting Town, Yixing, Jiangsu Province. He was a modern Chinese painter and art educator. I have studied Western painting in France and have been engaged in art education for a long time since returning home. I have taught at the Department of Art at National Central University, the School of Art at Beiping University, and the Beiping Art School. After 1949, he served as the Dean of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Proficient in characters, animals, flowers and birds, advocating realism, especially in traditional Chinese painting, emphasizing the integration of Western painting techniques into the reform of traditional Chinese painting, advocating light and shape in painting, emphasizing the accurate grasp of the anatomical structure and bones of objects, and emphasizing the ideological connotation of works. They had a great influence on the Chinese painting world at that time, and were known as the "Three Heroes of Jinling" along with Zhang Shuqi and Liu Zigu. The traditional Chinese painting is a perfect blend of colors and ink, especially renowned for its galloping horses. This painting is Xu Beihong's "Ten Steeds", which can be regarded as Xu Beihong's masterpiece. The horses in the painting have different expressions and are lifelike, receiving unanimous praise from both internal and external circles. The breath of spring, the gentle breeze in the wilderness, the tender grass on the slopes, and the divine horses in the spring mountains. Our thoughts fly with the wind, as if we can smell the fragrance of fragrant grass. The small grass that has just broken through the ground, the wild flowers blooming in the wind, and the branches of the green willows are all flying the breath of spring to the fullest, without any hesitation, towards various parts of the world. Listen, after waves of pine waves, there are sounds of galloping horses, like the faint sound of dragons, like a resounding song. Looking around, it seems like seeing a galloping horse enjoying the spring scenery in the embrace of nature, so comfortable, so graceful, so agile, so full of vitality! This item is well preserved and has extremely high collection value and historical significance, making it worth collecting for collectors!
