Description

Zhang Daqian is from Neijiang, Sichuan. Originally named Zhengquan, later renamed Yuan, with the titles of Daqian and Daqian Jushi, and adopted the name Xing. In 1908, his mother taught him white drawing of flowers, birds, plants, and insects. When I was young, I accompanied my brother to Kyoto, Japan to study painting and also studied dyeing and weaving techniques. After returning to China, he became addicted to Buddhism and shaved his head to become a monk. His Dharma name was Da Gan, and after returning to secular life, he practiced the Dharma name. He is skilled in painting and enjoys painting lotus flowers and meticulous figures, standing out in his own way and achieving exquisite artistic conception. Qi Baishi is known as the "Southern Zhang and Northern Qi". This artwork adopts the technique of splashing ink and colors. Firstly, the colors are sprinkled onto the canvas, allowing the color juice to naturally stretch and dissolve into the back of the paper. Then dip in ink and sprinkle it on rice paper with a brush, seemingly casual, but with sophisticated techniques and ingenious intentions. Afterwards, use a pen to draw the lotus stems and flowers. On the screen, a blooming pure white lotus flower, with its delicate posture of "still holding a zither and half covering its face", is like a young girl in the early stages of love, gazing affectionately at this vast world, full of longing for future happiness... Its conception is meticulous, the brushstrokes are exquisite, and the artistic conception is implicit, giving people a visual impact of a combination of Chinese and Western, atmospheric and free spirited, and beautiful. This item is well preserved and has extremely high collection value!
