Description

This artifact has a trumpet mouth, a long neck, a small ball belly, a tibia, and a bell shaped seat. The fetal body is pure white and delicate, the porcelain is firm and dense, the glaze is smooth, with a slight hint of cyan. The shape of the Flower Gu is modeled after the bronze Gu of the Shang and Zhou dynasties. It was originally one of the Five Sacrifices. The Five Sacrifices are a set of sacrificial items enshrined on the altar of a Buddhist niche, consisting of one incense burner, two candlesticks, and two Flower Gu (bottles).
