Description

General's jar is a treasure of Chinese ceramic art. Can style, 100cm high, with a 40cm abdominal diameter as a pair, named after the shape of the pearl cap resembling a general's helmet. The jar has a straight mouth, ample shoulders, sword belly, a flat sand bottom, and a high round cap with a precious pearl top. Commonly seen are five colors, three colors, blue and white, yellow glaze, eggplant skin purple glaze, etc. Its body is huge, beautiful and majestic. First seen in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, during the Wanli period, and during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was basically established. The relief dragon patterned general jar, made by the emperor during the Qianlong period, was used by the emperor to bestow high-ranking generals for officials to enjoy. It is a precious treasure of the royal family during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
