湖南洪宪元年开国纪念当十铜元，红铜质，钱币正面中央镌刻单线圈，圈内中央竖书“當十铜元”四字面值，左右各饰铸一朵多枝葵花；圈外上缘镌刻“洪宪元年”纪年，下缘书“开国纪念币”，中部边缘有“湖南”二字记地，纪年记地等文字之间用四朵梅花间隔。背面中央镌刻线圈，圈内饰嘉禾纹饰，圈外环铸THE FIRST YEAR OF HUNG SHUAN和TENCASH(“洪宪元年”和“當十”)，纪年和记值之间以星点间隔。The first year of Hunan Hongxian's founding commemoration is ten copper yuan, made of red copper, with a single coil engraved in the center of the front of the coin, and the four-character face value "when ten copper yuan" is engraved in the center of the circle.
